You have no idea how fulfilling today was for me. You have no idea how fulfilling today was for me. This is truly my happy place and my safe space. My bride was there close to me the whole day while I caught up with my friends and thrived in my day. The whole day flew by far too quickly for me. I could have gone another 6 hours easily!!!

There is no way to describe how anxious I am about There is no way to describe how anxious I am about the art show coming up. Set up is on Wednesday and I am still trying to finish.... 5 paintings??? More??? I've lost all track of everything. But my favorite part is that I will have my wife there with me the majority of the time and she's plowing ahead on all the "Admin" things I am terrible at. Right now she and Zoe are making the name/price tags for all the paintings and custom designing them with her card making skills! Love you @mandi_ufferman ! We will see you at the art show, Montana Expo Park in Great Falls the 16th-19th! I will be at booth GW25 and if you don't see me there I may be doing interviews for our podcast MontanaLifestylesPodcast.com sponsored by @montanalifestyles magazine, The Great Western Art Show, Legends West Art Show, and Johnson Madison Lumber!

This painting still has a long way to go, but I ju This painting still has a long way to go, but I just completed it's "Legacy Studio Rustic" frame made with reclaimed wood. Each nail hole, knot hole, and blemish just makes it more beautiful. The best part is revealing the grain of the wood with a torch and just watching it all come together. Super pleased with this one!

So it's been a little bit until tonight that I had So it's been a little bit until tonight that I had a few timelapses of my latest painting session. So what have I been up to? Well admittedly my art show is a few weeks away and I can't afford to buy frames for my paintings. So. I borrowed a ton of tools from my father-in-law, and I am converting my old 1 car garage into a wood working shop. Let's see how this pans out as I learn to make my own custom frames from wood pallets and recycled construction materials I'm finding around our city.
Sometimes destroying what you have previously done Sometimes destroying what you have previously done just makes the most sense. Knowing how to fix it is the thing to become confident at. Making mistakes is a given. It will always happen, so stop expecting perfection from yourself. Just learn to fix those mistakes and stop assuming that your mistake is simply the best you can do. You can do better, you will do better, and you will do it right now. Paint over the mistake and make it what you wanted it to be. Fight for it. Even if you have to do it over again, and again, and again.
