Quote from Matt Kirby on February 20, 2025, 11:43 amFrom your experience, how long do you like to let tusk/bark scales set around before using them? Maybe a better question would be, what should I look for to gain confidence they're done warping?
Reason for question....I bought a set of scales in March that were "kiln dried, cast in stabilizing resin, and heat cured for a period of one week". When I pulled them out of the drawer on Saturday, I was surprised at the amount of warp in both scales. They're thick enough that they can be flattened out from the bottom side still, but it makes me nervous to use them anytime soon.
