Winter

Ok, I'll  start the dance. 1 deg f this morning. 4 deg for high at home

Here in Great Falls, Montana.....  Last night was so cold that my digital indoor/outdoor thermometer's "outside" temp reads "ERR".... as in error. 🙂     As I write this.... the good ol outdoor/dial thermometer shows between -35 to -40F.    Looking online, it says -33F at 7:57am.... with today's high forecasted to be -13F, then back into the -30s tonight.

I've been forging the past two days.... I decided that if I could get Orange Crush's (my 80 ton press) power unit (a 4 cly Kubota diesel engine) to start/run in this cold, it'd be a great time to be in front of the forge!   So far there's not been any train wrecks with home, shops, or vehicles due to the cold.

Here in Montana, we typically have a SHORT period of this type of weather every winter.... but this cold snap is colder, and is sticking around longer than normal!    Just means throwing on more layers and just keep going about your business. 😉

Beat us again , -10 this morning. like you its going to be end of week before temps get back to normal. stay warm and stay well

It's been stacking up snow down here so it hasn't been too cold yet.  Keep that cold up north please!

Monday, 15 Jan..  Once again, the digital thermometer says "ERR". 🙂   News reports -30, and the old dial outdoor thermometer is hovering around the -35F mark.    Just another day to fire up the forge!  🙂
